I liked this post on How to Create Compelling Content by Copyblogger so much I stole it – Not really, I just borrowed it! One of the best content marketing lessons I learned early on, was to curate other people’s great content. It saves you much time and effort, plus it goes a long way to creating good relationships with the people who created it (so long as you use it correctly and give them full credit for it!)
How to Create Compelling Content
Let’s take a look at this Infographic and discover ways you can create compelling content when you’ve run out of ideas…
Thoughts on How to Create Compelling Content…
Well, what did you think?
Did this help stimulate your thinking and give you some ideas about to create your next piece of content?
I know it did me when I first read it. In fact, the very first point grabbed my attention — the one on content curation by compiling a list of 10 of your favorite blog posts from other blogs. I can’t tell you how much this one point has meant to me over the years. I use it all the time, such as a “Weekly Roundup” on a given topic.
Another point that I particularly liked, is the Case Studies – good and bad. This is a super way to create compelling content without actually “creating” the content itself. Simply pick a product, a company or a website, use bits and pieces of the content as your blog content, and then expound upon it by including your input based on:
- What are they doing right/wrong?
- Why do you like/dislike them?
- What can your readers learn (good & bad) from the example?
I hope this Infographic on ways to create compelling content has benefited you in some way. Personally, I think you should consider copying & pasting it into a document and then print it out for future reference.
