Content is king. It gets to wear the crown, sit on the throne and rule the world. When it comes to establishing credibility, gaining trust and producing sales, content is royalty!

While I would never suggest abandoning the concept of delivering high quality content to your subscribers, there is another type of list composed of subscribers who couldn’t
care less about content.

“What is this type of list?” you ask…

- > The “Announcement List“.

I’ve been teaching about the “announcement” list since at least 2002 (on record at an event). And, yet, it’s a widely untapped asset in most email marketing circles.

The main reason is: nobody’s teaching it. And so, nobody knows anything about it, let alone how to effectively create one of these lists.

So, we’re going to revisit it.

——————————————-
What Is An “Announcement” List?
——————————————-

DEFINED: An announcement list is a list whose sole purpose is to “announce” (I.E. Inform, notify) when something new is available for review, consumption or purchase.

In other words, it unapologetically says, “Hey, I just released XYZ. Come check it out!”

Now, at first glance you may be thinking, “Who would join a list that offers no content and only sales pitch?”

If you say it that way, it doesn’t sound too good to me either! That’s why you don’t say it that way. Let’s take a look at HOW to “say it”…

———————————————————-
How About An Example “Announcement” List?
———————————————————-

If you go to this site you’ll find a textbook example of this concept…

PLRSO stands for “Private Label Rights Special Offers” I established this list for the sole purpose of informing people anytime I have a new PLR offer available for them to buy.

That’s it.

I don’t send out ezine articles to them. No newsletters. They don’t get blog posts. There aren’t any special reports. No content of any kind. What they get, in essence, are
sales messages.

And there are already 2,822 subscribers, many of which have already purchased some of the PLR special offers that have been “announced” to the list.

Why does it work? Let me give you plenty of reasons…

1. I took something that was “in-demand” (PLR) and I allow people to get a head-start on the world by knowing about new releases FIRST by joining this list.

2. It’s not billed as an “announcement list”, but rather a “Free PLR Club“. Big, big difference in perception.

3. It has it’s own domain name, further adding to the perceived value and importance to those who join.

4. There is no requirement to buy once you join. Buy the offers that you want, pass on the ones you don’t want.

5. A cost example is provided to show what you can buy immediately, further illustrating the value of the complimentary “membership”.

And here’s the big twist that makes this idea of creating an “announcement” list a complete no-brainer…

I allow my affiliates to “give away” no cost memberships to the PLRSO club!

When someone they refer buys one of the offers, they earn a commission. And I get other people to promote and build my list for me. We all win.

So, you may be thinking…

——————————————————-
What Kind Of “Announcement” List can I Build?
——————————————————-

There are a wide variety of “announcement” lists that you can build. Let’s briefly look at ten of them…

* PLR List. You can swipe my idea and create a list of private label rights buyers.

* New Offers. Build a list of people who love your work and want to be notified any time you have a new offer available.

* Pre-Launch. Create buzz and anticipation for an upcoming new product release by building a pre-launch list several weeks (even months) in advance.

* Ezine Publishers. Build a list of publishers who want to know any time you have a new ezine article that is available for reprint in their ezines.

* Bloggers. Another idea is to allow bloggers who are looking for ready-made content to post to their blogs.

* Industry News. How about becoming the “go to” guy or gal to share breaking news about your industry?

* Joint Venture. Develop a list of partners and affiliates who are ready to promote anytime you have a new offer.

* Incentives. Here’s a great idea – create a list of people who you offer “incentives” to when they purchase someone else’s new product through YOUR affiliate link.

* Freebie. Regularly give away rebrandable content (reports, articles, videos, etc.) to these subscribers to earn commissions.

While all ten of these lists aren’t necessarily “buyers” up front, they each can certainly lead to buyers and revenue for you if you implement them.

Content is king. But let’s not forget that there are alot of queens, princes, dukes and earls out there too.

When you decide to make money blogging, you will discover that there are many options available to you. The truth is, that no matter what kind of blogging you do, whether you want to write about dogs, frogs, the rain in Spain or arthritis pain, there is money to be made blogging! Because of the research capabilities of search engines like Google, Yahoo and others, there are thousands of people online who are searching for quality blog content and content-rich material.

And the rewards are plentiful, if YOU are the one who is providing this material!

Remember that, even though it is possible to make mistakes and “lose” an occasional reader, you must consider the monetary advantages that blogging can give you. Here’s one tip to help you make money blogging. The first way in which many people make money blogging is through Self Promotion. Do you currently have a business that you love and care about? It might be small and struggling or it might be growing and healthy. Either way, you are going to need a blog in order to promote you, your product or service, and your business!

One reason blogs are so important, is because blogs allow your readers to post feedback and to get a better idea of what you are all about. A blog also allows people to really see what kind of updates you are making to your business. Blogs are just one more way for people to get to know you, and the more that people get to know you, or a collection of people, the more business they are likely to do with you. Also, be aware that many advertising services will let you Place Ads On Your Blog.

If you are looking to Sell Advertising Space, there are a number of ways for you to do it. You might consider banner ads or contextual ads along the top of and the side of your blog. It is relatively easy to find a service that will help you, and at the end of the day, you might find that it is actually a way for you to help your readers as well. If you have a blog that is all about pets, for example, you can have advertisements for good pet care related products along the side and across the top of your blog page.

Another way that you might choose to make money with your blog is to use it as a space to Launch An Affiliate Business. Just in case you may not already know, an affiliate business is basically where you get paid every time you recommend a customer to a product and that customer then makes a purchase through your personal affiliate link. You are going to be talking about a certain industry or product anyway, so you might as well get paid for it. Your blog will need to be very content-rich, but if people are coming to you for good information, they will likely be interested in what products you are willing to advertise as well.

As you can see, there are a number of ways to make money blogging. Remember that you should always put up good content, and that the more regularly you post, the more readers you are going to have. Don’t underestimate the power of blogging and how it can change the way that you make your money!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, be sure to check back often for more updates. As always, we appreciate your feedback, comments and questions.

Until next time,

Godspeed

One of the best ways to make more money, even with limited marketing funds, is to create a blog. Blogs are relatively simple to set up, and even easier to use!

One of the secrets to successful blogging, is to create quality content and post it frequently to your blog. By posting quality content frequently to your blog, you allow your reader to learn more about you, your product, and your business. More importantly, however, your blog content should grab your reader’s attention and make them not only want to keep reading now, but also keep them coming back for more!

Another secret to successful blogging, is to “ping” your blog every time you update your blog content. Pinging is a way for you to inform the search engines and blog directories of new content posted on your blog. This is important to your blogs success because the search engines love new content! And with increased search engine traffic comes better search results, If you do update your blog on a regular basis.

However, pinging too much can be too much of a good thing! The search engines and blog directories really frown on over-pinging, especially if you ping trivial updates to your blog.

Blog content is not limited to just blog posts, either! Blog content can also include

Podcast

Videos

Photographs, and

Basically anything that adds quality and provides value to your reader!

A good idea to keep in mind is that it is the quality of your text, the words, that counts! This is especially important if you are promoting an online opportunity, home-based business program or other ‘opportunity’ related program or service.

Your ultimate goal for your blog is to become, what is commonly referred to as, an “Authority Site.” The term Authority Site implies that you are an authority in your niche, or market, have an established readership. The underlying strategy of becoming an authority site, is in creating numerous back-links to your blog posts, or should I say Blog Traffic!

Again, you do this by providing unique content that distinguishes you and your blog from the 500 Gazillion other blogs online! In other words, you are establishing yourself as THE source to turn to for information on the product you’re selling, and as the expert in your market.

Again, it’s important always to remember that “Content is King“. And if you want your content to be found by the search engines (readers), you must use keywords in all your posts! However, they need to be spread throughout the post so as not to appear overladen. The search engines, nor your readers, will like your posts if every other word is “Blog”, “Web Traffic”, “Make money” etc; etc…

Remember, the keys to successful blogging is:

Stay Active

Update your site regularly

Provide only quality content to your reader

Optimize your blog with keyword rich posts, and

Ping your blog after each new post!

And lastly, personalize your blog! Take every stride to ensure that your blog is a reflection of you. Stand out from the rest of the crowd in your own unique way, and Be Yourself! Speak to your readers in your own voice, using your own opinions and personal experiences.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, be sure to check back often for more updates. As always, we appreciate your feedback, comments and questions.

Until next time,

Godspeed

How are you using your blog to make money right now? Chances are you’re doing what 90% of everyone else online is doing, and that is simply having a blog where you post great content and then periodically promote affiliate products or CPA offers, right? After all, that’s the most commonly ‘prescribed’ method to make money blogging.

While this does work, to a degree, there are more advanced methods that could be way more effective. One such method is: Leverage.

Even if you have no clue whatsoever of how to leverage, you will find that you can use your blog as part of a plan that uses it to perfection. In fact, the only thing you need (apart from your blog, obviously) is an eBook product of your own. Without your own product you’ll find that you can carry out this plan in different ways – but it won’t be as effective.

So let’s say you have an eBook, okay. Now, if you were you to just go about marketing the ‘normal’ way via your blog, you’d probably dedicate a post or two to it, and maybe even set up a sales page, etc. However, you’re not going to do that this time. Instead, you’re going to take that eBook and extract a chapter that you feel is particularly interesting, and make it into a 10 page report or so (which obviously means your ebook has to be more than 10 pages to start, right? Duh…)

Now you have two products: An eBook, and a report! From this report, you can then create blog posts that talk about various topics that are covered in the report itself. Try to aim for around 5 or so. Each of these blog posts should be aimed at eventually leading the reader to the report itself, which you’re going to be giving away for FREE when your readers sign up to your list.

This is the power of using leverage to make money blogging!

Basically, this means that when people read your blog posts, they’ll have the option of finding out more by simply signing up to your list and downloading the report for free. In the report, there should also be an option to find out even more by purchasing your eBook!

See how you’re now using a linear plan for marketing?

Truth be told, you could branch things out even further and create various other blog posts from your eBook itself to promote both the report and the eBook. By not promoting the eBook directly though, you’re going to be simply ‘providing value’ to your readers, and it is far less likely to come off as simply trying to palm products off onto them.

At the same time, you’ll be building your list and starting to be able to market more and more products as and when you come up with them.

Using this strategy, you should be able to pull in far more profits from your blog simply by maximizing the effectiveness of your marketing. That in itself will set you apart from the minnows of the marketing world, and let you swim with the big fish!

If you’re tired of barely scrapping by, and are ready to finally make money online with blogging, you need to check this out…Now!
