Nothing is more exciting than when an idea hits you that you know will absolutely, positively work. Most often they usually come to us when we least expect them.  The difficult part, however, is taking those ideas and turning them into a workable action plan.

Here are a few pointers to help you turn your ideas into action…

1. Write A Plan Of Action – The moment an idea comes to mind, stop what you’re doing and start writing out what you are thinking. Write out the details of how your idea will work, then break it down into smaller steps. Having a plan of action to follow makes the process of taking action much easier.

2. Conquer FEAR: Many times people will get this wonderful idea, and then never act on them because of their fears. Fear is one of the nastiest four letter words in the dictionary. Fear can stop us from following through on our ideas and dreams. Don’t allow fear to dictate the outcome of your life, you have nothing to fear but fear itself!

FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real. FEAR is a mirage of the mind, telling you that you can’t make it through the desert of poverty. FEAR is that little boy or girl from your childhood that heard they’ll never make it “because…” Kick FEAR’s butt out of your life, and never let it take control of your future ever again.

3. Work Your Way Around The Furniture – When you were a baby first learning to walk, you used to pull yourself up by the coffee table and then work your way around the furniture to get to where you wanted to go. The same is true about your online business. Find a “table” – something that is a basic function of your business – and focus most of your efforts in that area, while keeping an eye on the next step of your action plan. Inch-by-inch and it’s a cinch!

Also, remember that you can outsource the parts of your business you don’t feel confidant doing; or don’t have time to learn and do yourself.

The key to your success is to proceed with small steps. Take each part of your action plan and take a small step each day. Don’t get stuck looking at the big picture like a child staring at the carnival cotton-candy machine.

Turning your ideas into a plan of action can be difficult at first, and perhaps even overwhelming, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Start slowly in the beginning and work your way up, and you’ll soon be on your way to success!

You can start posting useful information to your blog that readers crave, and while they’re at your blog, they can check out products and servies you have in your sidebar related to what you blog about. This ain’t rocket science folks

For best results, you’ll want to use a “self-hosted” WordPress blog and not the free kind. To do this you’ll need the following:

• A quality hosting company for your blog
• A domain name comprised of keywords that describe what you do, and
• A WordPress theme to use with your blog.

As for setting up your blog, you can follow the instructions and install it yourself or, for a nominal fee, many hosting companies will install it for you. Don’t let the sound of this overwhelm you, it’s simply a matter of learning how to use software programs as tools; much like screwdrivers, wrenches and hammers are tools to do their respective jobs.

As for a follow-up contact system, you’ll use an autoresponder as a means to automatically send messages to your subscribers via email. By placing a simple opt-in form on your blog, this allows you to capture your readers first name and email address. After your reader has entered their information, your auoresponder automatically sends them their first follow-up message. Many people offer a free report or special bonus as an enticement to give their readers a reason to sign up for their newsletter.

By providing your blog visitors access to the free report in exchange for their name and email address, you now have their permission to follow up with them again and again. This process is called “list building” – and is perhaps THE most important thing you can do to make money with an online business, consistently.

Now, as for getting traffic to your blog, this is perhaps the most difficult and time consuming part of making money online. Increasing traffic to a website takes effort, consistent effort! Your best bet is to start off with free traffic, or what is most commonly referred to as “organic” search engine traffic. The more free traffic you can create, the better off you’ll be in the long run.

To get free traffic coming to your blog, you must make it your ambition to master article marketing! Article marketing is the bedrock upon which all other free traffic strategies are built. In addition to article marketing, you’ll also want to post appropriate comments in forums related to your niche market; as well as social media marketing and several other modes of free blog advertising.

Once you’ve established a consistent flow of free traffic to your blog, only then do I recommend investing in pay per click (PPC) advertising. PPC advertising can provide you with an immediate increase in web site traffic, but this can get real expensive real quick. As you can see, making money with an online business is not difficult, it can however be time consuming. So, what’s wrong with this, you may ask?

Well for starters, I can assure you beyond any reasonable doubt, I did not subscribe to this person’s list. In fact, once I traced the email back to its original source, note the ‘co.cc’ ending at the end of the URL, I saw who it was from… A spammer! But even more importantly, the subject line and the email address from which it is sent is misleading at best, not to mention false advertising.

Listen, if someone has to resort to using “payments” as a prefix to their email address, and then try to hook someone into opening their email by “informing” them that they have an eCheck payment in progress, then they are either inexperienced, stupid, desperate or all three! Anyone with any sense at all knows exactly what this type of email and, uh, “business” is about…

Get-Rich-Quick!

In other words, people who are too lazy to get off their butts and make it happen and build a legitimate online business that serves other people’s interests and solves a problem. Forgive me, please. I’m doing my best not to offend anyone, and if you’ve bought into this type of business model or system, then please, do you, me and everyone else online a favor and get out of it ASAP.

Listen, please. There is no such thing as getting rich quick, with little or no effort, and especially without having to invest in your business. Ain’t gonna happen, not now, not later, not ever! Now, do you want to know how to do business the right way online?

Okay, I thought you would

It’s as simple as this…

These three things are what you need to succeed with an online business:

1. You need a legitimate product and/or service to sell

2. You need a hungry crowd of people who want to know more about what you’ve got to sell, and

3. You need a place for these two to meet… A website and/or blog!

In other words: Product+Website+Traffic = Sales

And sales, done correctly, lead to even more sales, more profits and a better lifestyle. However, what you do not want to do is Spam people who did not ask about your business, and who will only get pissed-off by this and then tell all their friends. The end result, we all end up looking bad.

Doing business right also means…

When building your list, be sure to attract only those people with whom you have an interest in. Be specific in who you target as a market to service. Swap the shotgun approach with a sniper-rifle approach. Don’t get me wrong, you first want to pick a BIG market of people proven to spend money, such as: Golfers. Then you want to whittle it down to Golfers within a specific age range, lefties vs. righties, etc; etc.

Next, collect name and emails with minimal or no opt-in incentive. Listen, I know this sounds contradictory to what most everyone else online teaches. However, when you send out your first email, your first follow-up email after opt in, send them an unadvertised bonus along with that email.

Why is this important? Because it was unexpected, and it’s like a present delivered to their doorstep! When your brand new reader opens their very first email from you – not fully knowing whether to trust you or not - bam! (nod to Emeril) you just exceeded their expectations and helped to build trust and credibility with an unexpected free bonus. This is not rocket science, this is just good ‘ol fashioned business where you let your actions and your content speak for itself.

Lastly, always ensure that your products & services match your readers needs, and solves a problem they are facing. Let me ask you a question: “What business are you in?” Seriously, what business do you believe you’re in?

Internet Marketing?

Uh, uh…

Making money online?

No again!

So, what business are you in? You are in the problem solving business. That’s it!

Think about this. If what you are doing with your online business does not solve another person’s problem, and offer up a solution to that problem, then what are you doing? Nothing, that’s what! Sure you may feel good about what you’re doing with your blog, and we all enjoy the many friends and relationships we build online; and that’s okay if that’s the reason you’re online. But if you want to make money online, then you are in the business of solving other people’s problems.

The correct way to do business online, is: work only with those individuals with whom you wish to work with, and build trusting relationships by offering information, products and services that solve your readers problems. And, by sending only those emails and related materials to those who have asked for it, and have given you permission to do so. Anything less than this, and your doing you and your readers a disservice.

You will not have any idea of what to put together on your own to market your business if you are new. This is why you want the company to provide these materials to you.

Things you need to find out about the company:

One: is their customer service top-notch? Do they even have a customer service department? You must be able to contact somebody and get an answer when you need assistance. So find this out BEFORE you join.

Two: does the home business provide you with a forum where you can interact with other people who are doing the same home business as you? This can be useful when you need extra help with marketing, ideas, or you just need someone’s advice. Support is always good to have whenever you should need it.

Three: has there been any complaints filed against the company with the Better Business Bureau? You most definitely want to find this out first so that you don’t join a company that won’t keep their word, or be around to pay your commissions!

These are just a few of the things that you need to have provided for you, and things you need to know about the company before you even consider joining. You will be able to tell what the best home business is by finding these things out first.

Summary: When searching for the best home business online, there will be all kinds of opportunities that you can choose from. However, the home business you want to join will be the one that will provide you with certain things to help you. You also will want to know as much as you can about the company before you join any opportunity.

Over the years, I’ve done a lot of research concerning Private Label Rights (PLR) content.  Earlier in my online career, I used to think that PLR was simply for lazy people who didn’t want to do their own writing, or content and product development.
